With some covid restictions being lifted on the 14th April, I booked a few nights away at Crossways Caravan club site. The static needed to be cleaned ready for sale so once done I then birded Portland and Yarner Wood in Devon also Labrador Bay. Highlights were
Pied Flycatcher Yarner Wood
Male Lesser-spotted Woodpecker Yarner Wood
Female Lesser-spotted Woodpecker
Cirl Bunting Labrador Bay
Cirl Bunting singing
Rock Pipit Portland
2 very distant Ring Ouzels Portland
In addition other birds of note were a Wryneck in the Portland Obs quarry and a female type Long-tailed Duck on a pit near the campsite
