I am a novice to birding and have become interested since walking Frank our dog, a cross Flat Coat / Springer around Hastings Country Park and the surrounding area, I realised the little brown birds weren't just sparrows.

Wales day 2 and 3 Choughed to Bits

 
Day 2 we drove to Fishguard finding a Black Guillemot in the harbour, heard Grasshopper Warbler in a reed bed near by. At Strumble Head plenty of Manx Shearwaters off shore.
 
Day 3 Stopping overnight in Pembroke we headed off early am to St.Martins Haven. Before getting the boat to Skomer found 2 pairs Choughs

Arriving on Skomer Guillemots Razorbills and Puffins everywhere, plus some more Choughs Wheatears, and a Spotted Flycatcher

Wales day 1 18th May

 
 
 
 
A couple of days in Wales with Paul, Bob and Christine. We first stopped off on a hill near Abergavenny the target being Red Grouse which was found fairly quickly and likewise the other target species of Winchat, Dipper, Pied and Spotted Flycatcher and Wood Warbler
