About Me

I am a novice to birding and have become interested since walking Frank our dog, a cross Flat Coat / Springer around Hastings Country Park and the surrounding area, I realised the little brown birds weren't just sparrows.

Sunday 15th June an Eagle has landed

Lunch time on Sunday 15th June a quick look on Bird Guides I see the Short-toed Eagle that we all thought was a hoax has been seen. A few seconds later the phone rings its Paul do you know - Yes we are on our way and finally finding the right car park we meet up with 50plus birders watching it in the top od of a distant pine. Soon it took off and a walk around Ashdown Forest we soon found it again also a Honey Buzzard - not bad 2 new lifers in one day.
