About Me

I am a novice to birding and have become interested since walking Frank our dog, a cross Flat Coat / Springer around Hastings Country Park and the surrounding area, I realised the little brown birds weren't just sparrows.

West Sussex Commons Sunday 1st February 2015

A cold and breezy day starting at Burton Mill Pond with only the occasional Tit flock with Goldcrests and possible Firecrest.
After doing the circuit back at the Mill both Treecreeper and a Grey Wagtail were on show

From here we relocated to Iping Common which was more or less birdless apart from our target of the Great Grey Shrike

A visit to Ambersham Common turned up 3 Bullfinches and little else so we called it a day.
I decided to call in at Bexhill to try and find the Snowbunting and did so in 10 minutes, pics are very poor due to the light fading
